Fees

Non NHS/Private examinations – we are happy to undertake by appointment, private medicals, HGV/PSV, attendance at the travel clinic but please note that this work falls outside NHS and requires a fee, also any private certificates and form filling eg passport and driving licence also requires a fee, but you do not need an appointment for these.

Patient Health Information

All practice staff abide by our practice policy regarding strict confidentiality; patient consent will always be obtained when necessary. The practice adheres to the Data Protection Act which gives you a number of rights in relation to how your personal information is used, including the right to access the information we hold about you.

Times vary by GP & day of appt

The practice operates a system whereby there are pre booked appointments and book on the day appointments. Book on the day appointments are bookable each morning from 8.30am. Emergency cases will always be seen on the day but may require to wait.

Baby Clinic

Tuesday 2pm – 4pm with Health Visitor in attendance, this clinic is only for childhood immunisations and examination. If your child is unwell make an appointment via the receptionist with the doctor.

Minor Surgery

Removal of cysts, warts, skin tags, joint injections, ingrown toenails etc by prior arrangement with the doctor.

Maternity

Antenatal Midwife Led Clinic – Tuesdays 3.30pm – 4.15pm. Please contact the receptionist to arrange an appointment.

Postnatal appointments can be organised during routine surgeries.

Family Planning

Advice on all methods of contraception is provided by Dr Forshaw, Brannigan & Curran and also the Practice Nurse.

Currently we have a monthly clinic by Dr Aine Curran for insertion of coils and contraceptive implants.

Interpreting Service

If you require an interpreter, this can be arranged via the receptionist. Please allow 7-10 working days for the arrangement of this service. In the case of an emergency please bring a family member or friend with you to act as an interpreter for you.

Cervical Smear

Recommended every 3 years for women aged 25-65 years. By appointment with Dr Forshaw, Brannigan, Curran or Practice Nurse.
